실명
실명 (blindness)

보건복지부 등록 시각장애인의 수는 1995년 2만여 명에서 2004년 17만 명을 거쳐 2014년 기준 25만 명을 넘어섰으며[1], 2010~2012년 시행된 국민 건강영양 조사에서 5세 이상 실명 환자는 2.2만여명 (0.05%) 이었다. 또한 고령에서 시각장애 유병률은 더욱 증가하고 있어, 70세 이상 인구에서 실명은 0.49%에 달한다[2].
