눈 우세
눈 우세 (eye dominance) 는 시각 시스템이 한쪽 눈의 입력 신호를 다른쪽 눈보다 더 많이 처리하는 경향이 있음을 의미한다[1][2][3]. 세부적으로는 주시 및 주목, 또는 그 외 다른 지각 기능에서 한쪽 눈이 반대편 눈을 지배하거나 이끄는 능력으로 정의될 수 있다[4].
안구 운동[5]이나 약시[6]같은 눈의 메커니즘이나 기능과 관련이 있으며 읽기 능력 조절에 중요하다고 생각된다.
역학
과거 연구에 따르면 70% 정도에서 우측 눈을 조금 더 선호하고 이는 우세한 팔다리의 방향과는 관련이 없다고 알려져 있다.
