== 장점 ==

스테로이드 점안약과 비교하여 안압 상승, 상처 치유 지연, 각막 감염 및 천공, 백내장 발생의 위험성이 적은 비교적 안전한 약제이다. 실제로 [[나이관련 황반변성]] (AMD) 환자에서 유리체내 anti-VEGF 주사 치료와 이 약제를 병행 시 COX2에 선택적으로 작용하여 항염증 효과를 보이며 이로 인해 황반 부종을 감소시키게 되어 부가적인 치료로 사용될 수 있음을 보여주는 여러 연구가 있었다<ref>Shimura M et al.
