== 검사 및 진단 ==

병력 청취가 중요하다. 전형적으로 피부염을 동반하면서 심하게 지속되는 안구 주위의 가려움을 호소한다. 보통 한 쪽이나 양쪽 부모의 아토피 질환 가족력이 있고, 천식이나 알레르기 비염 같은 다른 아토피 질환을 보이는 경우가 흔하다. 계절성이거나 노출과 관계된 악화 병력도 존재한다.
